CSA Rec Soccer Coaching Info
CSA is always accepting requests for coaches for all of our age groups!
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach or joining our High School Internship Program please review the following requirements:
- Pass a background check through the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association
- Coach 8 weekly 1-hour practice sessions. Practice sessions are as follows:
U6 - U10: 5:30-6:30pm @ McAlpine Elementary School
U12: 6:30-7:30pm @ McAlpine Elementary School
U14 - U18: 6:30-7:30pm @ Bristish American School
- Attend games on Saturdays. Game schedule rotates and is not available until registration is closed and teams are formed.
- Send weekly email updates to parents.
- Follow CSA Code of Conduct Policy at all times.
- Attend the following training:
Coaches Pre-season Meeting
Coaches Field Training Session with Director of Coaching Jim Finnerty September 11th
Coach Licensing Course (unless already licensed) September date TBD. Course fees covered by CSA
All Coaches are provided with support both on and off the field by Director of Coaching Jim Finnerty. Weekly lesson plans will be provided. Example training curriculums are posted on the left menu.
Coaches will receive a coaching t -shirt and team kit (game ball, ball bag, pinnies and cones).
