CSA COACHES LEAD TEAM BONDING EXERCISE AT MCALPINE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Four CSA staff members lead 36 teachers

On Monday, September 28th, four Charlotte Soccer Academy (CSA) staff members led a group of thirty-six teachers through a team bonding experience at McAlpine Elementary School. The group was led by board member Jamie Luckie, and assisted by Richard Butler (US Development Academy Director), Kevin Summers (staff coach) and Brent Stanze (staff coach). The exercise was designed to enhance team building skills and the ability to adapt to new situations quickly. The group was split into six teams of six teachers. To begin, the teams competed in several soccer-related relay races and then progressed to playing soccer, participating in a timed obstacle course and finally playing in a competitive game of team hand ball. Much fun was had by all and at the end of the one and a half hour session team Brown was declared the winners. Executive Director Brad Wylde said, “This is the first time we have organized an event like this and the teachers really responded well to being put in situations that were unusual to them. They all coped very well and worked with their teammates to solve questions that were asked of them. In the future, I hope CSA can be of assistance to other schools and organizations in the community”.
