For many age groups, the next installment for club fees is due on October 1st. Please make sure you are up to date with your payment schedule. If you have questions on your account, please call Ken at the club office 704-708-4166 or email admin@charlottesocceracademy.com
Spirit wear orders: update on hours and contact info, new hooded sweatshirt available soon.
The office will be open each day 9am – 5pm. Each Tuesday, however, the office will be closed between 930am – 1130am as we have our weekly club Directors meeting.
We are finally getting the final orders out for spirit wear for all our members; we appreciate your patience as we complete the orders. If you are looking to pick something up from the office or have questions on your order, the preferred time to call would be on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between 10am – 1pm and ask to speak with Kat Brown. She is heading up this department for us temporarily. If you cannot call at these times Ken is always available between 9am – 5pm Monday through Friday. We will have our next fall spirit wear order opportunity towards the end of September beginning of October which will include all adidas product and some new winter wear included hooded sweatshirts that have been requested. Keep checking the website in the coming weeks for more details
Weather hotline updates and procedure
We have been having some questions on the weather policies and procedures if we have to cancel practices during the week. If we have rain throughout the day we make a decision by 2:30pm on whether session will go ahead at the various practice locations. This information will be on our club website www.charlottesocceracademy.com and on our voicemail (office line 704-708-4166). If a late storm comes in after 2:30pm we will obviously monitor the weather and update the voicemail and website accordingly. We suggest that if you are travelling long distances please continue to check the voicemail in case a session is cancelled at the last minute due to sudden storms.
Practice Field Parking and info: CPI and JMR
This is an important reminder on parking and policies at several of our fields. It is important that we follow these procedures to make it easier on everyone dropping of players at practice sites and keeping our facilities in the best condition.
CPI Fields at Flat Branch Park: Parking reminder and Geese Problem
No parking on the main road as you drive into the school. Prior to 6pm you can park in the school’s front parking lot only. After 6pm, when the gate opens, you can drive into the school and park around the back but only in designated parking areas. We know there has been a problem with geese since we opened the facility. We are now working to correct this problem with some devices that will move the birds from the fields permanently. We appreciate your patience as we deal with this issue. Please make sure there is no trash on any of the fields when you leave the site.
JM Robinson Parking (drop off only at fields)
We are still having issues with the parking at the front lot by the fields. PLEASE NOTE THIS AREA NOW IS FOR DROP OFF ONLY. Please observe ONE-WAY traffic flow. Enter using the WEST entrance only (by football field) If you are wanting to park and wait for your child, parking will be available up at the school. The front parking area is for coaching staff and officials only.

Home and Away uniform for CSA (Blue HOME, White Away)
There have been a lot of questions on our home and away uniforms and some confusion with staff, players, parents and managers as to what uniform is home and what is away. To clarify for everyone our home colors are all blue and our away colors are all white. We know there are still some of our girls teams that are waiting for some blue shorts to still arrive from Eurosport (hopefully this will be resolved finally in the next few weeks) for those that do have the complete uniforms we request that you wear the required colors for the games. If you have to change shirts, please don’t be over concerned with changing shorts too. Some girls teams do still prefer to wear white shorts with the blue shirt for home which is fine but the preferred set up is all the same color if you have everything. We hope this clears up the questions.
Communication. The key to a successful club.
This will be on all my updates. Good communication is the key to as successful club. All families in the club should have the accessibility to communicate with your team coach and DOC throughout the season. Our coaches are reminded to have periodic meetings through the season to keep families up to date on the progression of the team. Email addresses for me and the DOCs are on the website if you need to communicate with us. If you need to talk in person, we are in the office each day and if you do not reach us directly, we will return a call in a timely fashion to address any questions or concerns. We have a fantastic full time staff here at CSA and some great team coaches. If you have any issues with your team, club etc please do not allow a problem to persist. Communicate with the staff so we can deal with it and move on in a positive way.
Thanks
Have a great week
