Spirit Wear Update
We have received the majority of the team spirit wear orders and are now in the process of filling them and getting them back to your team managers.  Due to high demand of certain items we have had to reorder some pieces of apparel but we plan on having everything in within the next few weeks.  Any questions on spirit wear items please call Kat Brown at the CSA office 704-708-4166 during the following times: Monday, Wednesday Thursday 10am – 1pm.

Additional Training Concludes This Week
Our final week of technical training and speed and agility training will be this week.  I want to thank Orthocarolina for their speed and agility program in the south, Erik Ozimek for the technical and speed and agility in the north, and Philip Poole and Anthony Turowski for the GK training in both locations. GK for certain age groups will continue in the south for those age groups continuing on with State Cup.  Please get with Philip Poole to verify your schedule.

The club is strongly encouraging players to attend these programs to keep their technical skills progressing during the off season.

Indoor Discount Opportunities
Several teams and players are interested in playing indoor soccer during the off season and CSA has been able to negotiate some discount programs at a few centers around Charlotte.  Details are below.

Carolina Courts in Indian Trail Futsal League
Carolina Courts is starting a new Futsal League at their state of the art indoor facility located just 5 minutes from the intersection of Independence Boulevard (US-74) and I-485. CSA coach Meanu Kayea will be directing the program which begins November 6th.  The program will run for 6 weeks through November and December and the standard team price is $495 but all CSA teams will get a $75 discount.  Registration and additional details will be open this weekend on their website www.carolinacourts.com

Calendar of Events Through Spring 2010
At CSA we know how families plan their calendars well in advance so we are trying to give you some information now pertaining to the spring season on some important dates.  Please see attachment with these updates that outlines the main events going on in the spring.  Please note we will again have a mid season break where we will close the club for a week (games, practices, office etc) for players, staff, fields to recharge in preparation for the final weeks of the season and the end of season tournaments and spring state cup events.  Hopefully these dates will help you all plan your spring around your soccer calendar. If you cannot access the attachment, please click here for calendar.

Accounts Receivable (October 1st payment NOW PAST DUE) REMINDER
The October 1st payment for club fees is now PAST due.  WE ARE CONTINUING TO LET FAMILIES KNOW THAT, IN ORDER TO BE IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE CLUB AND AVOID LATE CHARGES AND SUSPENSIONS, families need to be up to date with their fees. U15-U18 GIRLS WILL BE SUSPENDED FROM STATE CUP COMPETITION IF FEES ARE NOT CURRENT. Questions on fees, please email Ken at admin@charlottesocceracademy.com

Communication.  The key to a successful club.
This will be on all my updates. Good communication is the key to a successful club.  All families in the club should have the accessibility to communicate with your team coach and DOC throughout the season.  Our coaches are reminded to have periodic meetings through the season to keep families up to date on the progression of the team.  Email addresses for me and the DOC’s are on the website if you need to communicate with us.  If you need to talk in person, we are in the office each day and if you do not reach us directly, we will return a call in a timely fashion to address any questions or concerns.  We have a fantastic full time staff here at CSA and some great team coaches. If you have any issues with your team, club, etc please do not allow a problem to persist. Communicate with the staff so we can deal with it and move on in a positive way.

Thanks
Have a great week
