Congratulations to the girls teams listed above that advanced to the championship game in the NC State Cups this weekend. All games were very tight and could have gone either way. The U15G Predator, U16 G Samba, U17 G Predator lost close finals and the U16 G Predator clinched the club’s 1st state championship with a 1-0 win over CASL. The team has advanced to the USYS Regional Championships in Baton Rouge next June. CSA had a fantastic showing this weekend with a total of 6 teams advancing to the final four. Congratulations also needs to go out to the U16 G Mundial and The U18 G Predator who reached the semi finals on Saturday. On behalf of the club, we are very proud of these teams and it is a fantastic start to our new club to have this type of representation in the State Championships.

Several teams competed in various tournaments this weekend. Congrats goes out to the teams above that were Champions or finalists in CASL and Greensboro. A great way to end their fall seasons, well done to all.
Winter Training Camp Reminder
As your teams finish up the season, we want to remind everyone of our off season training program we will be offering during the holiday season. Spaces are still available; camp dates, times and registration are online at www.charlottesocceracademy.com. The program will cater to all players (3 groups broken down by age groups) and will focus predominantly on the technical side of the game. The club strongly encourages players to attend to keep themselves fit and sharp technically during the off season. If you need additional info on the program please contact your DOC or contact Ken admin@charlottesocceracademy.com at the office.
Coaching Education: Optional Training Session-Friday 6pm – 730pm
Coaches: We will have our final coaches session this Friday at 6pm – 730pm at the CPI fields. The session will have an attacking theme and will focus on attacking play out of the back. I encourage all coaches to attend this session and pick up some additional ideas to take back to your own teams.
Player/Coach/DOC End-of-Season Evaluations
Once teams have finished up their regular season play and their last tournament (if they are attending a final event) they will be finished for the fall season. Your coaches will be getting with you to set up individual meetings with each player to go over their season evaluation. I will also be sending out a coach/DOC evaluation where we each family is asked to evaluate our staff this season. We want to continue to improve our program and want to hear from you as to your experience with our staff this year. More details on the evaluation process will follow in the coming weeks.
Accounts Receivable (conclude payments for the fall to be in good standing with the club)
For those of you who have not communicated with Ken on your fall dues please make sure you connect with the office to be in good standing on your payments. We need to make sure all payments are up to date by Thanksgiving to avoid late charges and suspensions for spring play.
Communication. The key to a successful club. ALWAYS ON UPDATES.
This will be on all my updates. Good communication is the key to a successful club. All families in the club should have the accessibility to communicate with your team coach and DOC throughout the season. Our coaches are reminded to have periodic meetings through the season to keep families up to date on the progression of the team. Email addresses for me and the DOC’s are on the website if you need to communicate with us. If you need to talk in person, we are in the office each day and if you do not reach us directly, we will return a call in a timely fashion to address any questions or concerns. We have a fantastic full time staff here at CSA and some great team coaches. If you have any issues with your team, club, etc please do not allow a problem to persist. Communicate with the staff so we can deal with it and move on in a positive way.
Thanks
Have a great week
Brad
