Rising U13, U14, U15 Boys and Girls tours July 2010
Every year Charlotte Soccer Academy will be sending teams over to England for a unique opportunity to tour England and play against some international competition. We have developed some relationships with some clubs in and around London and a couple clubs are looking to come to our own event next August. Our plan is to take rising U13, U14 and/or U15 teams (boys and girls) over for an 8 day trip next July. We know it is difficult to get one complete team to go so we open this up to a few age groups and usually send a combined team of those families interested in this tour. The trip has been put together to cover an educational side with historical sites as well as a cultural side and soccer to make this a family tour for all those that can come. We have presented to several of the teams within this age group and have got commitments from players already but there are still spaces available. ,
In addition to the team tours, we are also doing a 5-day coach’s tour in January with an opportunity to go behind the scenes at some of the clubs in London and see 4 games (2-3 premier league games) over the 5 day tour. We have extended this invite to any parents who may be interested in this tour. A note for everyone’s calendar that we will be having our mandatory coaches meeting for the spring season on Sunday January 17th 530pm-630pm location TBD. Please make a note of this date. All coaches from CSA are required to attend.

Winter training registration will close Sunday, November 29th and we encourage players to register for this program online to avoid lines on the 1st day of camp. This off season training program will be a great way to help players stay fit and sharp during the break and work on the technical side of the game. A reminder to get your coaches and DOC evaluations in prior to the holiday season
Last week we sent out coaches and DOC evals for all club members to evaluate their game coaches and their DOC for the fall season. We want to continue to improve our program and improve our staff and in order for us to do so, we want to hear from our members. Please be sure to mail the coaches evals to your DOC (email them is fine or drop them off at the office) and all DOC evals will come to me. If you have a DOC coaching your team, please send me those evaluations also.bwylde@charlottesocceracademy.com
Fields closing this week
Just a reminder that all of our grass fields are now closed for the season. Only those teams preparing for showcase events over Christmas or the ECNL and Academy teams will be practicing at this time. This is an opportunity for the club to work on the maintenance of the facilities and have them in the best shape possible prior to the spring season.

This will be on all my updates. Good communication is the key to a successful club. All families in the club should have the accessibility to communicate with your team coach and DOC throughout the season. Our coaches are reminded to have periodic meetings through the season to keep families up to date on the progression of the team. Email addresses for me and the DOC’s are on the website if you need to communicate with us. If you need to talk in person, we are in the office each day and if you do not reach us directly, we will return a call in a timely fashion to address any questions or concerns. We have a fantastic full time staff here at CSA and some great team coaches. If you have any issues with your team, club, etc please do not allow a problem to persist. Communicate with the staff so we can deal with it and move on in a positive way.
