Charlotte Soccer Academy Players Invited to Market Training Center
Chris Brewer, Technical Advisor for the South Conference will be on hand to evaluate players
Several Charlotte Soccer Academy USSDA players have been invited to Greensboro, North Carolina to participate on Sunday June 13, 2010 in a Market Training Center (MTC). The MTC will include two groups of players those born in 91/92/93 and the 94/95/96 from the Virginia and North Carolina U.S. Developmental Academy clubs. Each group will be coached by Chris Brewer, Technical Advisor for the South Conference. There will be a number of other MTC scheduled in the South region throughout the next year.
"The MTC program is meant to help prepare our players for the Youth National Team Training environment" states Chris Brewer. "These sessions are a critical part of the Development Academy and have benefits both from the continuing education and player identification/development perspectives. This year, already, in our conference a player used his performance in a MTC to be chosen for the Showcase Select Game which ultimately led to a YNT camp and an invitation into the U17 Residency program this spring."
Participating in the MTC from the Charlotte Soccer Academy USSDA Program:
1996 Neta Lavi, Nathan Gordon
1995 Zhuvonte Wilson, Jared Odenbeck
1994 Roland Minogue, Austin Yearwood
1993 Matt Brown, Asa Kryst
1992 Thomas Allen
“This is an opportunity for these boys to train and play in front of Chris Brewer from US Soccer”, said Richard Butler, CSA Director of the USSDA. “It is nice to see many of our boys worthy enough as players to be asked into this program. This is the second Market Training Center this year and in the future I understand that there will be several more that our players might be able to take advantage of the training environment. I will be in Greensboro to observe the boys, I hope they are looking forward to it as much as I am.”
