Charlotte Soccer Academy ECNL 2009-10 Season Review (7/20/10)
Out of a total 40 clubs from across the country that participated in the ECNL 2009-10 Season, Charlotte Soccer Academy finished 11th in the club rankings.
"This was a great first year for Charlotte Soccer Academy and our club ranking in the ECNL is another example of this," states ECNL Director Adam Denton. "Each of our 92, 93 and 94 teams have competed very well in each of their divisions at the various events playing against some of the best clubs in the country. Each one of our CSA teams final placement has a point value and these points are combined for your clubs total. 11th is a great showing based on the clubs that are in this league. Next season will be even tougher as the league has expanded to 52 teams but the staff are already working towards season two and we hope to improve on this standing. I would like to thank the staff, players, parents and volunteers that have all worked to make this season a great success."
CSA teams attended four ECNL events through the course of the 2009-10 Season. These were the Final Four Showcase in College Station, Texas in December, The Disney Showcase in Orlando, Florida in December, The Las Vegas Showcase in March and the ECNL National Championships in Seattle, Washington. The 94 CSA ECNL team finished 12th in Challenge "A", the 93 CSA ECNL team finished 14th in Challenge "A" and the 92 CSA ECNL team finished 18th in Challenge "A". With CSA finishing 11th out of 40 clubs in the ECNL Club Standings the 95 Team will also be placed in the Challenge "A" flight for next season.

ECNL National Championship Review (7/19/10)
Each of the U 15, U 16, U 17 CSA ECNL Teams returned home from Seattle, Washington on Sunday after competing in the last event for the 2009-10 ECNL Season.
All 120 teams from 40 clubs were at the events climax for the 2009-10 season. The U 17 Predator defeated West Coast FC 1-0, Irvine Strikers 2-1 and lost to the Colorado Rush 1-0. The U 16 Predator defeated West Coast 1-0, and lost to 1-0 to Real Colorado and CASL. The U 15 Predator lost 3 very tight games losing 1-0 FC Virginia, 3-1 to Texas Challenge and 2-1 in double over-time to Bethesda.
"Our whole ECNL experience this year has been fantastic," states ECNL Director Adam Denton. "Each of our four ECNL events have provided the best competition for our players and exposure to college coaches. Each of our players have developed in soccer and as a person due to the experiences this year. By the end of the week the ECNL will tally up all the points for each club and have a club standing along with each teams overall record and final standings. We are looking forward to seeing the results of this year and working with our players to continue to improve for next year. Next season the ECNL will have 52 Clubs participating and CSA is looking forward to more great competition next season."
ECNL National Championship Series Update (7/7/10)
Each of U 15, U 16 and U 17 are now preparing for the ECNL National Championship Series event that will be held in Seattle from July 15-18th. Adam Denton ECNL Director states, " The National Championship Series is the last event of the 2009-10 ECNL season. Each of our CSA teams still have lots to play for going into these last three games. After these games are completed each team will have a final league posistion that will have a point value. These points are totaled up for each team within each club and the club with the highest point total will be crowned the ECNL Club Champion for 2009-10. Each of our teams are in a strong posistion and our goal in to finish as high in the divisions as we can. At the end of of the event we will have the team and club rankings for 2009-10."
At the Las Vegas Showcase, Charlotte Soccer Academy Predator/ECNL teams will compete against the best teams in the country including the Colorado Rush, Texas Challenge, and Bethesda.
ECNL Las Vegas Showcase Review: Liska Dobberstein Selected for ECNL Las Vegas All-Tournament Team (3/15/10)
CSA would like to congratulate Liska Dobberstein of the Charlotte SA 92 Girls Predator team. Liska was selected for the Elite Club National League Las Vegas Showcase All Tournament Team. Liska was selected as one of the top four forwards from 32 clubs from across the country that attended the Las Vegas Showcase in the U 17 Age group.
Each of the U 15, U 16 and U 17 ECNL Predator Teams returned home last night from their last of three ECNL tournament showcase events in LAS Vegas, Nevada.
The U 17 Predator defeated Arsenal FC 2-1, West Coast FC 1-0 ad Lost to Mustang FC 1-0. The U 16 Predator defeated Pleasanton Rage 4-0, tied Sereno 1-1 and lost to Mustang FC 2-1. The U 15 Predator tied Stars of Mass 1-1, tied 0-0 with Colorado Rush and pushed the defending National Champions Mustang FC all the way losing 3-2.
"Our ECNL experience this year has been first class," states ECNL Director Adam Denton. "The ECNL provides the best competition for girls soccer in the country and also provides exposure to college coaches that is second to none. Each of our players and teams have enjoyed the experience this year and I know are looking forward to the future seasons in the ECNL. The Las Vegas trip was another great success and I would like to thank our volunteers at the event. We want out players to travel understand the college environment so we have the players travel and room together as they adds to to the overall quality of the program. Without our volunteers this would not be possible."
The players will now have a break from ECNL competition before resuming practices at the start of the summer to prepare for the ECNL National Championship Series held in Seattle, Washington from July 14-18th. All 120 teams from 40 clubs will be at the event in the last event of the 2009-10 season.
ECNL Las Vegas Showcase Update: (3/2/10)
Each of U 15, U 16 and U 17 are now preparing for their last of the three ECNL Showcase Events which be held in Las Vegas, Nevada. All 50 players are leaving from a flight from Charlotte Airport on Thursay for the three game event. Adam Denton ECNL Director states, " This is our last ECNL Showcase Event before the National Championship Series this July. Each of our CSA teams are well prepared as we have been practicing throughout the spring season in additional to the players High School Seasons. The coaching staff are looking forward to the event as the players continue to build on their college exposure from the pervious two events."

ECNL Disney Showcase Review: Katie Page Selected for ECNL Disney All-Tournament Team (1/4/10)
CSA would like to congratulate Katie Page of the Charlotte SA 94 Girls Predator team. Katie was selected for the Elite Club National League Disney Showcase All Tournament Team. Katie was selected as one of the top four defenders from 24 clubs from across the country that attended the Disney Showcase in the U 15 Age group.
At the Disney Showcase, the Charlotte Soccer Academy 94 Predator team defeated PDA 1-0, D’Feeters 2-0, and St Louis Scott Gallagher 1-0, before losing in the final 2-1 to NASA. The 93 and 92 Charlotte SA Predator teams were also at the event and though each of the teams performed very well the results did not go their way. The 93 Charlotte SA Predator competed against Eclipse, San Juan Spirits and Stars of Mass, while the 92 Charlote SA Predator faced Ohio Elite, Lonestar SC and FC Dallas at the event.
"To be a part of the ECNL is a great accomplishment", states ENCL Director, Adam Denton. "We are competing against the best teams in the country and that is only going to make our players better. One of the greatest benefits of the ECNL program is the exposure to college coaches from around the country who attend the ECNL events and games. On average there were 20-30 college coaches at each of CSA’s games and our players are being given the opportunity to perform in front of these college coaches and pursue their dreams of college soccer."
Charlotte SA ECNL teams have now completed two of their ECNL Showcases by competing in the Final Four Showase and the Disney Showcase events. The next event for the U 15, U 16, and U 17 Predator teams will be in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 12th-14th and then the ECNL National Tournament in July in Seattle, Washington.
ECNL Disney Showcase Update: (12/28/09)
Each of U 15, U 16 and U 17 are now preparing for their 2nd of the three ECNL Showcase Events which be held in Orlando Florida. Adam Denton ECNL Director states, " This is our 2nd ECNL Showcase Event before each of the players will have a short break over the Holiday Period. This is the last action of the 2009 Season and our players are wanting to finish 2009 and start 2010 on a high by competing against the best teams in the country."
At the Las Vegas Showcase, Charlotte Soccer Academy Predator/ECNL teams will compete against the best teams in the country including PDA, Lonestar, Eclipse SC and the D’Feeters.
ECNL Final Four Showcase Review: (12/2/09).
Each of U 15, U 16 and U 17 returned from a snowy Texas after competing in their first ECNL Showcase of the 2009-10 Season
At the Final Four Showcase, the Charlotte Soccer Academy 94 Predator team tied Sereno 1-1, lost to the Dallas Sting 3-1, and tied 0-0 with Real Colorado. The 93 Charlotte SA Predator defeated CESA 2-0, lost to the Minnisota Thunder 2-1 and Albertson Fury 1-0. The 92 Charlotte SA Predator tied 1-1 with Ohio Premier and lost 2-0 to Neusport and 3-0 to Bethesda.
"Besides the cold weather, the weekend in Texas was a great success", states ENCL Director, Adam Denton. "All areas of the trip were first class. All the players performed well both on and off the feild. Our performances were very strong and I feel our players responded well in being treated like college players away from the soccer field. I would like to say a big thank you to our volunteers that helped with co-ordinating this event"
Charlotte SA Predator/ ECNL teams have completed their first of their three ECNL Showcases by competing in the Final Four Showase. The next event for the U 15, U 16, and U 17 Predator teams will be in Orlando, Florida over the New Year Period.
ECNL Final Four Showcase Update: (12/2/09)
Each of U 15, U 16 and U 17 have completed their R3PL Regular Seasons and NCYSA State Cup Campaigns and are now preparing for their first of three ECNL Showcase Events which be held in College Station, Texas. All 50 players are leaving from a flight from Charlotte Airport on Thursay for the three game event. Adam Denton ECNL Director states, "All of our ECNL players and teams are looking forward to our 1st event. We are preparing our athletes for the college level and treating them like college players having all the players travel and room together will only hep them when they get to the College Level"
