Happy New Year to all of you!
I trust that this not finds you well and well into the swing of 2012. As we approach the beginning of the soccer season I wanted to get you some important information as you start planning for the madness!
1) Training resumes - Practice begins again next Monday January 30th at the CPI Fields (Polo Ridge ES). The U9 age group will train from 5:00-6:15 pm and the U10's from 6:15-7:45pm. GK training and technical training will start in March and I will let you know those dates as soon as I have them. Please have your children wear their CSA gear to practice and to always bring a ball.
2) Adidas Cup Tournament - After just two days of training we will be competing in the Adidas Cup held at our CPI complex the weekend of February 4th and 5th. All teams will play a minimum of two games on Saturday and at least one on Sunday so please plan accordingly. Most of the teams will be CSA teams and other local clubs but it will be a good way to dust off the cobwebs and get some games under our belts. The schedule for this event should be out and available online by the time we begin training next week. We may have some coaching clashes with many of our coaches who coach multiple teams so if you are available to assist and help warm up teams etc please feel free to reach out to your coach.
3) Tournament Volunteers - We are in desperate need for some volunteers for the event at the CPI fields. If you are interested in helping out and logging scores, concessions, putting out flags etc please email Carcy volunteers@charlottesocceracademy.com. The two days are broken into small increments of time so if you or any of your older children would like to help out it would be much appreciated.
4) Spring Season Schedule - I know that I have sent this out a number of times but again here is the schedule for the upcoming season with game times to follow as soon as they have been agreed upon:

Feb 25 - versus KSA/Weddington (h) at CPI (Polo Ridge ES)
Mar 3 - versus CUFC(a) at The Palisades
Mar 10 - NM/Waxhaw(h) at CPI (Polo Ridge ES)
Mar 17 - FCCA (a) boys at NM Park (Huntersville) girls at Frank Liske Park (Concorde)
Mar 24 - Weddington (a)at Weddington Optimist Park
Mar 31 - CUFC/GCCSA (h)at CPI (Polo Ridge ES)
No training April 2nd or April 4th
Apr 7/8 - Easter weekend (off)
Apr 14 - FCCA (h)at CPI (Polo Ridge ES)
Apr 21/22 - Julian Brown Tournament weekend at The Palisades (Saturday/Sunday event)
Apr 28 - NM (a)at Richard Barry Park (Huntersville)
May 5/6 - Greenville SC Adidas Festival (Saturday/Sunday event)
