CSA/OP Recreation Soccer Program provides Instructional Soccer as an entry level program for our youngest players.

Program Objectives
|
This league is a non-competitive, child physical development program for children 2.5 years to 4 years old, AND their parents. It is designed to introduce children to the game of soccer at an early age in a fun and comfortable environment. The program features “the original” Soccer Corral while incorporating creative skill challenges, music, and specially designed equipment to teach basic soccer skills such as kicking, passing, turning, running, jumping, and more. While heavy emphasis is placed on developing fine and gross motor skills related to soccer, equal importance is given to helping your child develop social skills and self-confidence. Parents fully participate & assist their children in the learning process and develop a deeper knowledge of the game as well. While the instructional factor is emphasized over the competitive factor, the older children will be introduced & phased in to learning 1v1, 2v2, and then 3v3 match play during the second half of the season.

The objective at this age group is to maximize every child’s contact time with the ball. CSA/OP Soccer follows the guidelines set up by US Soccer for this age group. (see link below) By playing 3v3 games every child is involved and participating. There is one weekday practice.

The objective at this age group is to maximize every child’s contact time with the ball. CSA/OP Soccer follows the guidelines set up by US Soccer for this age group. By playing 4v4 games every child is involved and participating. This year we will be adding corner kicks and goal kicks from an area not near the goal. There is one weekday practice. U 8 player’s are also encouraged to attend skills session on Friday for continued development. See skills session description for details.
