About the CSA ECNL Regional Program for Girls

The ECNL Regional Program is the second-tier level for girls U13 through U19 at the club, providing an advanced level of training and consistently competitive games to maximize player development.

Our ECNL Regional Girls teams participate in the ECNL Carolinas Regional League which will be made up of teams from North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia and is part of the ECNL Mid-Atlantic Conference. U13 and U14 teams will have a fall and spring season; U15 - U19 will have a fall ECNL season only to allow them to participate on high school teams. The reduced level of travel required for regular season games in the Regional League will allow teams to participate in nationally-attended showcases such as the Jefferson Cup, NCFC Showcase and/or Disney Showcase. This aligns with our program goal to continue to provide our players with the broadest exposure in national events that attract the most college coaches.

ECNL Regional teams will practice three times per week and will be provided additional training support in the form of functional (position specific) sessions from our senior staff and performance training with our partners, Architech Sports Performance. In addition to the advanced programming, players on the Elite Program teams are constantly being reviewed and evaluated by the ECNL National program staff and Directors; establishing a pathway for progressing to periodic sessions and potential games for our ECNL National platform teams.

Steve Magee is the overall director of the ECNL Regional Program at CSA. Coach Magee has done an outstanding job with several team successes over this past year, winning state and regional championships as well as individual players advancing to the National level due to the continued player development curriculum he has implemented. Matt Denton and Andrew Steedman will be providing regional support for the Girls' Regional teams.
