For Immediate Release: Charlotte Soccer Academy Hiring of Brian Moore, USSDA Girls Director

CSA is pleased to announce the hiring of Brian Moore to our full-time staff as the Director of the USSDA Girls Program. Moore is replacing Philip Poole who is taking a position at Wake Forest University.

Coach Moore is one of the most decorated women’s coaches in the country. He was the Girls’ Director of Coaching for the AFC Lightning Soccer Club from 1997-2002; State ODP Coach for Georgia Youth Soccer; Regional Staff Coach for Region 3 ODP, and Director of Coaching for Peachtree City Youth Soccer League.

Following Peachtree City, Moore was the head of the South Program and ECNL Director at Concorde Fire Soccer Club and turned the program into one of the strongest women’s programs in the country. While at Concorde, Moore was selected twice for the National id2 Nike Camp; was on the ECNL Board for Directors and Southeast Conference Chairperson from April 2012-January 2015; and was a member of the US Soccer National Training Center staff for 3 years.

Following his work at Concorde, Moore went into the college game and was the assistant women’s coach at the University of Georgia for the past three years.

Moore is a former professional player in NPSL, USISL and A league. His coaching accolades include:
13 USYSA Georgia Youth Soccer State Championships (over last 12 years)
10 USYSA Georgia Youth Soccer State Runner-Ups (over last 12 years)
   3 USYSA Southern Regional Championships (2 in 2002, 1 in 2003)
   2 USYSA Southern Regional Runner-Ups (2003, 2006)
   1 USYSA National Semifinalist (2002)
   1 USYSA National Runner-Up (2002)
   1 USYSA National Championship (2003)
   1 ECNL National Semifinalist (2011)
   3 ECNL Southeast Conference Championships (Fall 2012 - U15’s; Fall 2013 – U16’s and U18’s)

“I’m really excited about bringing Brian on to our full-time coaching staff,” states Executive Director Brad Wylde. “With the departure of Coach Poole, we knew we needed to bring someone in who had the experience running, managing and coaching the highest-level players in the country and also having the network in the collegiate ranks to help promote and market our program and players. Coach Poole has created a tremendous platform for our elite girl players and we needed someone to keep that momentum going forward. Coach Moore is passionate about soccer and his resume speaks for itself in terms of the success he has had at all levels of the game from the youth through to the college, PDL and the Pro ranks. Moore has a creative, positive coaching style, and is a winner on and off the field. It’s obvious by the brand of soccer he implements with his teams, each player flourishes playing under his guidance, which is huge in the overall development of youth players.”

Coach Moore will begin his new role on a part time basis within the next few weeks transitioning to full time with CSA by the beginning of March.
