Member Responsibilites for Return to Play

June 6, 2020

CSA Parents and Players,

We have concluded the first week of having our players back out on the field under our Return to Play Plan. It has been great for our coaching staff to see their players working hard at our technical sessions after this long break.

The reason for this note is to reiterate our Return to Play Plan created in line with the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association, Governor Roy Cooper’s Phase 2 Reopening Plan and the CDC guidelines. Unfortunately, we have had reports this week with parents/spectators failing to follow the guidelines we have set for all CSA facilities and practice venues. As a reminder, unless you are escorting a young player (Recreation Program) to the field, all parents should refrain from being outside of their vehicles while at the facilities. If you need to stay at the facility, you should remain in your car and if someone needs to leave their car, they must wear a mask. We are still seeing people walking and running around the facilities which isn’t allowed at this point, we wish it was, but we are restricted by these guidelines at the facilities that are open.

This next week, signs will be placed around our facilities to reinforce the Return to Play guidelines. Local Park and Recreation departments are using our sites as a test run in order to potentially open additional fields this summer. We are trying to ease the concerns from local government and the school systems to relax the current plan in place so that we can continue to progress our sessions moving forward.

Competitive teams will continue to train next week and then we will begin tryout sessions. The rec summer training program will continue through June 27th. More information on sessions/schedules and plans are forthcoming from your respective Director of Coaching.

We really appreciate everyone following the rules and as a reminder, I have attached the Return to Play guidelines. Please review them again as a family before we start the weekend sessions. We look forward to seeing everyone back out on the fields over the next few weeks.

Sincerely,

Brad Wylde
Executive Director
