Charlotte Soccer Academy Introduces FUTURES Program for Youth Academy Players
To Begin in the Charlotte Section for 2021-2022
Charlotte Soccer Academy (CSA) is excited to announce a new program being implemented into our grassroots competitive program for the 2021-2022 season. The CSA Youth Academy (YA) will now include a FUTURES Program for male and female players in the 10U/2012 and 9U/2013 age groups. The program will offer an accelerated approach to training with our fulltime YA staff as well as additional training sessions and games throughout the season.
“After many years of assessing our Youth Academy programs, the time has come for CSA to implement a new level of programing within our YA platform,” said Richard Butler, CSA Youth Academy Director. “After months of planning and with input from several program personnel, we are now prepared to implement the CSA Youth Academy FUTURES Program for the upcoming season. We see this as an environment that will challenge our most committed young players who want to train more and take on some further tasks to promote development. We look forward to monitoring player progression under the accelerated programming.”
“Our Youth Academy program is the future of CSA,” states Executive Director Brad Wylde. “There are young players in our Charlotte community that are accelerating at a rapid rate and we want to continue to challenge these children by offering an add-on program to the existing YA platform. By providing this additional tier, we continue to strive to provide platforms for all levels of development and commitment at the younger age groups.”
CSA staff will assess all interested players during in-house sessions and at the upcoming open assessments for the CSA Youth Academy program scheduled for the week of May 17. Following assessments, a limited number of players will be given the opportunity to join the FUTURES Program for the 2021-2022 season. The program will begin this next season at our Charlotte YA section with long term plans to expand to additional Youth Academy centers in CSA. More information about the FUTURES Program will be announced in the coming weeks on CSA’s website and social media channels.
