Charlotte Soccer Academy Hiring of Stephen Chaconas
CSA is pleased to announce the hiring of Stephen Chaconas to our full-time staff. Chaconas will be working within our North program overseeing the ECNL North Regional boys program, North Pre-ECNL and implementing additional sports performance programs into our North program structure.
Coach Chaconas joins CSA having spent the last 9 years across Charlotte Independence and the former Lake Norman Soccer Club, where he held numerous roles within their organization such as Technical Director & Boys Director of Coaching, while also leading Coaching Education & College Recruiting efforts. Additionally, he held head coaching positions at the NPL and ECNL level. Chaconas holds a USSF Senior A License, United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, as well as a Youth National License.
Chaconas’s coaching career began with the club currently known as NCFC (formerly CASL) as their Assistant Director of Classic Soccer & Director of CASL F.I.T. Programming. During his time at CASL, Chaconas won 2 USYS state championships and was a USYS Regional finalist, while also coaching in the ECNL program upon its inception. During his time across the Charlotte youth soccer landscape, Chaconas has led 4 separate teams to USYS State Championship finalist trophies, while placing over 110 athletes in collegiate soccer programs. A former licensed Sports Performance Coach with a degree in Sports Medicine, Chaconas also brings a significant athlete performance background to CSA North.
