Charlotte Soccer Academy Girls Accepted
into the Development Player League for 2022-2023

Charlotte Soccer Academy is pleased to announce they will enter into the Development Player League (DPL) for the upcoming 2022-23 season. The mission behind entering the league is to provide an opportunity for elite female players, who are residents of South Carolina, and who have the desire and ability to compete at a national level. This program will be centered at CSA’s York County, Palmetto and Palisades programs.

“We are extremely excited about providing this platform for our Elite level female players residing in South Carolina,” states Executive Director, Brad Wylde. “With the success at the state level of the Palmetto Program over the past couple of years combined with the growth in York County, having a national platform for our girls’ teams compliments the club’s overall mission of providing a program for every level of play within our South Carolina community.”

CSA will enter the DPL in the Southeast Division with some of the best clubs in the region which include Tophat, Wake FC, Charleston SC and SSA to name a few. In addition to division play, the league includes up to three showcases a year in Florida, Texas and California providing clubs with high level competition at first class facilities.

The Development Player League (DPL)

The DPL is an Elite National All-Girls League. The Mission of the DPL is to develop the player and empower the person in a purposeful and memorable environment. CSA shares this vision in providing our female players the platform to showcase their talent, discover collegiate opportunities and create a sense of community around the game. The DPL is an established and ever-growing platform and a program directly underneath what is already established within CSA’s ECNL program.

“I am thrilled to add this fantastic league to the York County area and beyond,” states Sectional Director, Ralph Latchana. “It has been my goal to ensure the community is served with a top-level program to match with our top-level staff and players. We were able to make massive strides as a club in a short amount of time and I’m sure our players will welcome the competition and challenges ahead.”

CSA will hold player assessments/tryouts in the near future. Additional information will be announced in the coming weeks.
