CSA Introduces Mental Health and Well-being Program

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, CSA is taking this opportunity to introduce our Mental Health and Well-being program. 

At CSA, we recognize that our soccer players are more than just athletes. We are investing in the CSA Mental Health and Well-Being program with the goals of providing educational resources for coaches and parents and creating more awareness about the importance of the mental health of our athletes.

The club is embarking on several initiatives under this program including hosting guest speakers, introducing educational programs, and sharing recommended resources. It is our hope that this program will educate more adults to recognize issues that impact the mental health of young athletes, be aware of signs that a player may need additional care, and how to take action in support of the athlete.  

Programming will begin to roll out next season. We would like to thank a dedicated group of parents who have heled create our first fundraiser in support of our initiative, "More than an Athlete".

"More than an Athlete" Fundraiser

We value the individual and know our players are more than just athletes. They bring many gifts and talents other than their soccer prowess and many of our athletes have shared their outside interests and pursuits in a video.

The "More than an Athlete" theme inspired Zoie Kempf, ECNL 05 player, to design shirts in recognition of the program. 

All money raised will support educational platforms as well as guest speakers to come in and talk to our parents, players and staff about mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
