CSA Members,
Last week we sent out a statement to everyone related to our game day policies as we embark on the opening weekend of the season. North Carolina Youth Soccer and the NC Department of Health have conducted meetings this week related to the Governor's announcement of phase 2.5. The decision has been made to allow games to begin, but the spectator policy has been adjusted to only ONE per player on the sideline. Parents with additional siblings are allowed to bring them to the games if personal scenarios prevent them from staying at home.
I know this is not ideal for our families but in order for us to conduct games and stay in good standing with US Soccer, this has to be in effect until further notice.
Please note this adjusted rule will be followed at all levels including ECNL National and Regional programs.
In addition to the adjustment on our guidelines, another change is the requirement of all player to wear masks on the sidelines if they are off the field (subs) for the duration of the game.
Attached are the updated policies and procedures with the changes highlighted. We ask that all our membership adhere to these guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of our players is the utmost importance to everyone, and we continue to be allowed to conduct games throughout the season.
I appreciate your consideration in these last minute changes and we hope these rules will ease up as the season progresses and the pandemic subsides in our state.
Regards,
Brad Wylde
