Eight CSA Teams Advance to USYS and Kepner Cup

Charlotte Soccer Academy ended its regular NCYSA spring season on a high, advancing one team to the USYS North Carolina State Cup Final Four Championships and seven teams to the Kepner Cup Final Four. After a couple of successful weekends of play from all age groups, the following teams have advanced to the semi-final games, which will be held at the J Burt Gillette Soccer Complex in Wilson, North Carolina, May 21-22.
Advancing to the USYS State Cup Final Four, at the 19U age group, is 03 CSA Charlotte Roma, coached by Tyler Andrus. They will play TUSA Wake Blue at 8:30am on field 2.
05 CSA Charlotte King, coached by Morteza Ebrahimi, advanced to the Kepner Cup Final Four in the 17U age group. They will face off against NCFC Gold North at 8:30am on field 5.
Also advancing to the Kepner Cup Final Four is 06 CSA Charlotte King, coached by Dennis Tsoukalas. They have advanced in the 16U age group and will play PGSA Stars at 2pm on field 6.
In the 15U age group, the 07 North Broncos Blue, coached by Napo Carachure, advanced to the Kepner Cup Final Four. They are scheduled to play NCRT Blue at 4:45pm on field 8.
Another team that has advanced to the Kepner Cup Final Four is 08 Charlotte King. This 14U team is coached by Kevin Summers. They are scheduled to play ACS Orange at 6:45pm on field 4.
Three 13U teams have advanced out of regular season play to the Kepner Cup Final Four. 09 CSA Charlotte King, coached by Morteza Ebrahimi, will play CVYSA at 2pm on field 8.
09 CSA Elite 1 Girls, coached by Stephano Williams, have also advanced to the Kepner Cup Final Four in the 13U age group. This is a true 12U team playing up an age group. They will play NCFC Gold South G on field 8 at 8:30am.
Rounding out the teams that have advanced to the Kepner Cup Final Four in the 13U age group is 09 CSA North/Huntersville Roma. This team is coached by Joe Kirkwood and they are also a true 12U team playing up in the 13U age group. They will kick off at 8:30am vs NCFC White North G on field 7.

This is a fantastic achievement for our entire program. When you combine this success with our ECNL National and Regional programs on both the boys’ and girls’ side, it continues to solidify the progression of CSA to be one of the strongest clubs in the country from top to bottom. A lot of credit needs to go to the coaching staff and the Directors of Coaching, who have done a fantastic job with all of the teams within their age groups this season. We hope the respective teams will perform to their full potential next weekend and put themselves in a position to win a state title. Regardless of the results, we are very proud of all the teams and coaching staff and we hope they relish the experience next week. Congratulations to all and good luck.”
